Story to this picture: "It was a late summer morning. You could feel a fresh breeze in the air and morning dew was on the grass when Kahn woke up.
He takes a deep breath and enjoys the moment. He looked around, thinking that it would become a great and peaceful day, but for sure he couldn’t know what will happen on this day.
He looked around to watch after the herd, to see if everything was ok. Khan stood up. He fell thirsty so his first job of the day was finding some water. He looked beside him, his father was still there. Since he got wounded, Khan had looked over him in secret. Khan quickly looked over the sleeping older stag before he went on his way to find some water and food, though as fast as he could, he started with his job.

He saw a young doe, the one he was watching for days now. She was kind of … rebellious. And today she apparently didn’t wanted to list to her mother.
He remembered of the time where he also did this. Though Kahn didn’t watch long enough to see that the little doe ran away into the woods.
Only his father, who had woke up not long after his son, saw that the young doe ran away into the dark wood. The old stag his body became weaker, though his mind was still very clear and that he had more experience than his son.
It took Kahn more than an hour to realize his father was gone …
As soon as he saw he disappeared, he started to ask around. Nobody knew, except for one: the young doe’s mother. She had seen him going in the forest.
Khan suddenly fell scared. He knew his father became weaker and as fast as he could, he tried to track him and the young doe.

Then more he ran, the more stressed he became about it. Khan ran for a time, until he noticed something and stopped. Paw prints... of a predator. And they were fresh. Khan snorted and looked around. If these things were hunting here, they would find his father. Khan tried to find the scent of his father, but he couldn’t find it.
A sudden scream drew his attention. The scream of a doe. As fast as he could he ran into the direction of the sound. His heart was beating like he was hunted himself. He was scared …. why was he scared??
When he arrived at the place, he knew why he fell scared. A big body was laying in the ground, blood dripping on the ground. Khan gasped for air when he saw the lifeless body of his father.
He had tried to save the young doe, who was now hiding herself, though he had failed …
He looked around until he saw them. Those short running wolf-like creatures.
He fell his body turning warmer, a hate growing in his chest, in his heart against these creatures that once attacked him when he was young, and now killed his beloved father.

With a scream he jumped to the pack, kicking away the creatures from the dead body of his father.
He bowed his head, holding his rack between him and the hunters. They were circling around him, ready to attack, they wouldn’t step back.
Khan snorted and scratched over the ground with his hooves. The stag looked furious to the pack and his aggressive behavior impressed the hunters. One by one, slowly they went away …
But for Khan this wasn’t enough, he wanted them dead!! He turned the roles and now he became the hunter. He started to hunt them, like they had hunted his father and the doe.
He remembered how they had hunted him, years ago, but also that they had trouble with his obstacles. He knew a collapsed cave and he drove them to that place.
They had no change … he killed them one by one.
The last one was looking at him. Khan growled. “Don’t mess with the Glenmore herd.” he said with a sneer. Again he started to hunt this last one, though it escaped through the bushes.

Khan snorted and he turned around. The young fawn had left her hiding place and walked up the Khan. Together, they went back to the herd. On the way home, the doe cried, telling him she wouldn't do it again. She felt guilty for what happened to Alear.
Be brought her back to her mother and told her everything before he walked away.
He had lost his father, the most precious thing in his live ..."

History:
It was a afternoon and the sun was going down. The Doe separated herself from the Glenmore herd. But not far away from it. It was time for the birth of her fawn.
The father, Aelar, a big, muscular royal guard stag from excellent blood, was around her all the time. He wasn’t too close to her because he didn't wanted to disturb her, but also didn’t wanted to leave her alone, in case of any danger.
He didn’t wanted to lose this doe, she was a beauty and he was very proud that he had won this doe. It would be tragic to lose her ...

So the birthing began and everything went well. The doe stood up and encouraged the little fawn to stand up, she had no idea that her stag was watching her. The fawn look around with its big eyes before it started to try to stand up. Aelar came closer to look at his child. The little one was stronger builded than the other fawns, so it wasn’t a big problem for it to stand up with its strong legs. When it become safer on it’s legs, it look up to his daddy. The big stag was very proud of his strong little fawn. He smiled and said “welcome my son’’.

His parents gave him the name “Kahn”. And his father was sure that he will become a strong royal guard. Kahn always was running around when he was a fawn. He always tried to have much contact to other fawns but the others were a bit scared of him because he was careless and cocky, so he could hurt the other fawns ...
When the mothers of the other fawns noticed this, they tried to scare him off. They just wanted to protect their own babies from this reckless fawn. This was the reason why he spent much time on his own or only with his parents. His mother was a bit worried because of this, in her opinion he needed the contact to the other fawns. She tried to speak with the other does, but they refused to listen. After this she told it Kahn’s father, He wasn’t worried at all. He said that it will going better after time more time have passed. However, Kahn had not learned the important social behavior towards other fawns and fawnlings. So when he became older, he reacted aggressive and was bullying them, since he had no idea he was acting wrong.
On that point, his father finally realized what was going on and he had to do something before it would turn out bad.

One day, another one-year-old Fawnling challenged Khan. the wild young stag responded immediately and started to fight. Luckily Kahn’s father was watching him at this time and he acted quickly to stop the fight. He ran between the both and Kahn stopped. The other young stag lowered his head, listening to the curses Aelar was throwing around. Though Kahn didn’t react on the words of his father. In fact he just stared at him, with a calm emotion before he turned around and walked away.
The other stag saw the reaction of Khan and started to talk to Aelar about this behavior.
“I have seen your son acting more like this …” the young stag said. Aelar looked down on the youngling. “you did?” he asked. the younger stag nodded.
“the herd is scared of him, something has to be done. You have to do something. The elders don’t tolerate this behavior any longer …”
Aelar looked back up, to the place were his son half standing only a few minutes ago. he sighed. “I will see what I can do …” he said.

Aelar went on the search to find his son. It took a long time before he found him. Khan was trying to run away, but his father was much faster than his yearling son and he jumped before him to make him stop.
“You can’t act like this any longer.” his father said with an angry tone.
The young boy looked up straight to his sire, with an angry face.
“What do you mean?”
His father snorted. “This behavior, this aggression.”
Khan turned around. “I don’t care.” he replied
Aelar jump in front of him again “If you will act like this in the future you will be kicked out of the herd so – “.
Khan interrupted the sentence of his dad “I don’t need the herd!”. He became louder.
“You don’t need it you say?” Aelar became more seriously.
“Fine, let me see if you can really live without the herd. Let me test you.” he said with a grin.
“Live outside the herd, for a week. No herd, no family, nothing … and nobody shall help you either.”
The young stag snorted.
“Great, I can do this. I’m not as week as the anxious little fawns!”
Khan ran away. Aelar looked how his young son ran away … he sighed and turned around to go back to the herd and to his job.
“We will see if you want to live alone after this again..”

Khan was running through the wood. He was still thinking that living alone would be very easy. And at the beginning it seems relaxed, no rules to follow, no other pissed him off and no problems. The first night was very quiet and also the following day was nice to but then the trouble started.
Predators wouldn't attack a full herd, but single fawnlings were and easy meal. Certainly the young ones. Khan hadn’t counted on this, he had always lived in the herd and rarely saw any of these hunters. Shocked of them, he started to watch out, day and night. he became slightly paranoid because of the circling hunters.

Nights and days passed and on day 5, he noticed a predator following him. The hunter started to circle around him, ready to strike on the right moment. For the first time in his live, Khan felled fear. A branched broke and Khan jumped up and started to run. He didn’t saw the predator, but he knew it was following him … it was hunting him.
Fear struck his heart. Fear.. he was scared. A feeling he had never felt before. The instinct to run took over and it was screaming ‘run’ in his head the entire time.
Khan looked over his shoulder, seeing the hunter behind him. But one hunter suddenly became 2 hunters … more hunters, more fear.
Though suddenly Khan started to see things more clearly and started to think. These things had short legs, so they probably wouldn’t be good jumpers. So Khan changed his direction, going for a path with boulders and logs. Khan himself had no problem with jumping over these things, but the short-legged hunters had. Though Khan didn’t took the time to check if they were still following him. He kept running until the moment he was breathless.
“Smarter than I thought …” he whispered between the tries to catch his breath.
Khan tried to find a safe sleeping place and soon found a small cave, where he fell on the ground and fell asleep.

The sun woke him up early. He had a strange feeling in his belly: hunger.
He wasn’t in such a rich area and most of the plants he didn’t knew. He had no idea if they were dangerous or eatable. He thought about it to return to the herd, but he knew his father wouldn’t allow it. Slowly he realized his father was right. He needed the herd … for the food, for the protection. He needed the other, the other he treated so badly.
Khan turned around, ready to go back to the Glenmore herd. On the way, he kept thinking about what he had done, about his behavior.

When he reached the herd, he searched for his father. He was easy to find with his big size and bright color. Khan first hesitated, but then he collected his courage and ran to his father. Aelar noticed his son and ran to him, blocking his way.
“What are you doing here? The week isn’t over!” Aelar said angry.
“Dad..” Khan said softly. “I can’t live alone..”
“Oh really? And this is the only knowledge you got?”
Khan shook his head “no.. I found out that I need the herd and the members of it so ..I have to be nicer to them..”

The big stag snorted and suddenly smiled. “So you saw it … I am proud of you.”
And I know how you can get your misbehavior right again.”
The yearling looked up “ You do?”
He nod “You can protect the weaker ones of the herd and you could learn become a guard, so you can be strong and could help the others.”
Kahn smiled softly. “But how?”.
“You have to train much and have to learn to be respectful,” his father told him.
“I will learn it!” Khan replied, determine to fulfill his new task to make his father proud.
Aelar smiled again “Come, join us again”.
He returns and Kahn was following him. His mother was so happy when he returned to the herd, she had been worried about her son, thinking she would maybe never see him again.

The days passed and Aelar started to train his son, so that he will become a strong guard. He had the best Prerequisites for this. He also learned him about earth magic. Khan was very talented, though it wasn’t something he was really interested in.
His father also gave him mental training. Even after that little survival test, Khan was still somewhat hot headed and didn’t always know how to act right.
His father learned him patience and learned him how to act on such things.
From time to time it became better and he became bigger stronger and brighter.

Aelar gave him the tip to stray a bit thought the territory, so that he would see and learn about other things to. Khan happily did this and went on many trips. He saw many things and got much experience. One day in the winter of the year 753 he planned a big travel. He asked for the permission and got it. He said goodbye to his parents before he left for his trip. He wasn’t scared to be alone now, he had more experience and knowledge about nature and knew how to survive.

Khan decided to walk to the south, but he didn’t want to step into the Blackwood territory. So he went over the mountain chain. This journey was the hardest he had ever does. But he didn’t want to stop it. The weather was stormy and cold. After weeks his fur became thicker so that he it wasn’t so cold for him anymore.
After weeks a heavy snowstorm started, but he had luck and found a protective cave. He rested there and waited for better weather. At the evening the storm stopped. After he waked up he stand up and walk outside. Then he heard a noise. Khan looked around, but he couldn’t see anything. So he ignored it, maybe it was something small.
But when he wanted to walk further, he heard it again. It was closer this time, behind the big rocks. It was like burning fire and he could smell burned things. Slowly he went to the place of the sounds and looked around.
He saw a brownish stag, blindfolded. the young stag was practicing his fire magic.
Khan became curious and he went closer. Though the young stag got spooked of the sudden appearance of Khan and in an accident, he putted a bush on fire, right before Khan face. Khan screamed, feeling the pain his face. He felt the heat, but his react had been to slow and the fire had burned down a part of his skin. The fire was gone, but the pain was still there.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” the brown stag kept saying, not really knowing where he had to look and not really understanding what had just happened. “Are you oke? Are you hurt?” he kept asking.
Khan shook his head. “I’m fine …” he said shortly. “It doesn’t really hurt anymore.” Khan said strongly. Though it couldn’t calm down the brown stag. “It can’t be oke, you got burned. I smell it. You were screaming … I’m so sorry.” the young stag kept babbling. He was blindfolded and couldn’t see the big burn wound on Khan’s face.
“Believe me it’s everything ok.” Kahn repeated, while he tried to ignore the pain.
But the brown stag didn’t want to believe that answer.
“Can I do something? I’m so sorry.” he said. “I am Simba by the way.”
“Calm down …” Khan said. “I am Kahn. You are a Silverthorne? At least, with that strong fire.” Khan admitted, he couldn’t ignore the pain.
“So you are indeed hurt? Please, let me help you. I need to help you.” he started again with his nervous actions.
Khan sighed. “No, you can’t!”
Simba suddenly shut up.
“Where are you from,” he asked curiously.
“I’m from Glenmore.” Khan replied.
“Wow, amazing. That’s pretty far away. Must have been a long trip to get here then.”
Khan nodded, though he realized the young stag couldn’t see. He became curious about the blindfold himself.
“What are you doing here alone?” he asked on his turned.
Simba started to tell his story, about his friend that pushed him from the cliff, resulting in his blindness. His struggling with it, his lessons in it, how to life with his blindness.
“So now I am traveling around, trying to get control of the rest of my instinct and learning about other things.”
Khan had listened to the entire story, softly forgetting the pain on his face. “That must have been hard …” he said softly, thinking about his own struggling life.
“Maybe I can help you to bring you home?” he said.
Though Simba shook his head. “I am not ready …” he said with a sad voice. “I must be stronger first, currently I am only a trouble to the herd, an easy prey, a cripple …” Simba replied. “I want to become stronger first and learn more about the things around me.”
“Then let me help you with that.” Khan replied. They traveled together for a few days. Khan helped Simba to get more feeling around him, to listen to the predators, to find his way trough the forest. Simba on the other hand, told the stories he had learned on his way to his new friends, helped him to learn about the plants he could eat and which ones were poison.

Though after a few days, Khan decided it was time to go back to Glenmore. He said goodbye to his new friends and traveled back home. He was glad to be home again. The herd welcomed him.
His mother was shocked when she saw what’s happened to his face and try to heal it. But like his father, he was to proud and that scar would remind him to that small travel.
Though wen he wanted to greet his father, he noticed something was wrong. His normally talkive father was now silent and tried to avoid his son. Khan obverted his father until he noticed his father was wounded at his knee.
That night, Khan approached his father.
“What’s happened to you knee?” Khan asked him.
“Nothing special, it’s happened at a fight” Aelar looked at him.
“Hm…ok” Khan said nothing else. He accepted the answer, though he knew there was something more.

3 years passed by and Khan grew up to an adult and powerful stag. He took his father job, protecting the herd and the royal family. And during the rut, he wasn’t afraid to measure his power with the other stags. The once young bullying fawn was now a respect stag.
Though Khan was worried about his father well-being. He saw how he became weaker by the day because of the wound at his knee, which never really healed like it should have. Khan started kept looking over his father … but on such a way his father wouldn’t notice...
